Travel to Sitges
Sitges is located about 35 km southwest of Barcelona and only 30 minutes from Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN).
Getting to Sitges from Barcelona Airport (BCN)
· Taxi: The most convenient option. The journey takes around 25–30 minutes and costs approximately €50–60 per ride.
· Bus: A direct service (Bus Garraf / MonBus) operates from Terminal 1 (T1) of Barcelona Airport to Sitges. The journey takes around 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic. If you arrive at Terminal 2 (T2), take the free airport shuttle to T1 to catch the bus.
· Train: There is no direct train from the airport to Sitges. From the airport, take the R2 Nord line to Barcelona Sants Station (approx. 20 min), then transfer to an R2 Sud train heading towards Vilanova i la Geltrú or Sant Vicenç de Calders, which stops in Sitges (approx. 30 min). Total travel time: around 50–60 minutes.
Getting to Sitges from Barcelona City Centre
Train: Frequent suburban trains (R2 Sud line) connect Barcelona with Sitges.
You can board them at: Barcelona Sants (30 minutes), · Passeig de Gràcia (37 minutes), · Estació de França (46 minutes)
Look for trains with final destinations Vilanova i la Geltrú or Sant Vicenç de Calders.
Taxi or Private Transfer: A taxi from central Barcelona to Sitges takes about 40 minutes, costing approximately €70–75, depending on traffic and pick-up location.
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION: Sitges is a compact and walkable town. Most hotels, restaurants, and the conference venue are within short walking distance.If you wish to visit Barcelona, frequent train connections run every 15–20 minutes during the day.

September in Sitges usually offers warm and pleasant weather, with average daytime temperatures around 25–28°C and mild evenings. A light jacket is recommended for the night or seaside walks.

The local currency is the Euro (€). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted, but carrying some cash is advisable for small purchases or local cafés.
